At Freddie Vokes School of Performing Arts, we believe performing arts is for everyone. Our friendly, professional team create a safe and encouraging space where young people can thrive, make friends and grow in confidence.
Whether your child is taking their first steps into creative expression or aspiring to vocational drama training, our experienced industry professionals nurture individual strengths without pressure, celebrating every breakthrough on and off the stage.
The school was co-founded by Freddie and Sarah Vokes, who believe deeply in the power of the performing arts to build confidence, resilience and connection. Freddie’s experience of neurodiversity and hearing loss informs our commitment to making training welcoming, accessible and genuinely supportive.

Ofqual & ISOM Exams
We offer accredited graded exams in singing and drama through ISOM (International School of Musicians) and Ofqual, recognized qualifications that open doors to further study and professional pathways.
A growing, performance-focused community
In summer 2025, we welcomed 18 children to our first Summer Theatre Week for a full week of singing, acting and performance. We now continue that work from Studio 3 in Mapperley, Nottingham, creating more opportunities for young people to learn, perform and find their voice.
Confidence on stage and beyond
Through showcases, theatre weeks and final performances, students gain real stage experience while developing collaboration, self-awareness and life skills. Every student is encouraged to grow at their own pace, whether they are working towards a career or simply looking for a joyful creative outlet.
